TUHFAT AL MUJAHIDIN and other stories
It is a wonder that many are very much eager to read more on the history of Kerala. Two recent queries were from US and Malaysia. It would be very interesting to know that Tuhat al Mujahidin was written prior to the development of present day malayalam script.

Tuhfat al Mujahidin
This work could be called as one of the earliest anti-colonial manifesto and was translated into many European languages. To our knowledge English translation of this book is now extinct. This is called by many as a source book of European colonial history.
This translation of Tufat is extensively annotated with more than 200 notes and 15 photographs explaining local backgrounds and people mentioned in the original work. Tufat is a compulsory reading for anyone who is interested in the history of colonialism.
